Witnessing History: The Hiroshima Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibit

Join us during the 9th Japan Week @ Bellevue College for the Hiroshima Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibit, a powerful reminder of the lasting impact of nuclear weapons and the urgent need for peace. There will be over 30 specially curated photos, data panels, and historical materials from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum (courtesy of Nuclear Weapons Awareness), so don’t miss this opportunity to learn what happened 80 years ago in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Exhibition:

October 6 (Mon) – 10 (Fri), 2025:
Bellevue College Library Media Center, 1st floor Lobby (10am–4pm)
October 11 (Sat), 2025:
B Building Room 101 (10am–5pm)

The exhibit features impactful panels on the history, science, and human toll of the 1945 bombings. Hiroshima and Nagasaki remain symbols of devastation—and hope—thanks to survivors (hibakusha) who advocate for a nuclear-free world. This is more than history—it’s an invitation to reflect and learn. Come explore the past and be inspired to imagine a peaceful future. Please mark your calendars. We look forward to seeing you.
