We are now accepting submissions on this website for Character Bento and Origami Contests! Multiple entries are welcomed 🙂 The Kendama, Cosplay, and Japan Trivia contests are being hosted live on-campus on September 24th (Sat).
キャラ弁と折り紙コンテストの募集を開始しましたので、このウェブサイトより写真を投稿してください。お一人様何度でもご応募いただけます＼(^_^)(^_^)／ けん玉、コスプレ、日本トリビア大会は９月２４日（土）にキャンパスで開催されます。
How to submit for contests >>
Your submissions for the Character Bento Contest and Origami Contest should be in either JPEG or PNG format. Please send a brief description of your photo with your submission by Sep. 18th (Sun).
Your submitted photos will be published on this website on Sep. 24th (Sat). Contest winners will be announced on Sep. 30th (Fri) on the Japan Week website, and potentially on other BC Japan Week social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok). All of your submissions/entries become the property of Japan Week and may be used in future BC Japan Week promotions.
Prizes will be mailed to all the contest winners after the event. To receive a prize, you need to provide us with a US mailing address. But, anyone can participate from anywhere in the world!
Please read the below contest rules carefully for each contest you wish to enter.
キャラ弁大会と折り紙大会の写真は JPEGまたは PNG 形式で、各大会フォームより投稿をお願いします。締切日は９月１８日（日）です。
フォームが難しい場合は、メール（JapanWeek@bellevuecollege.edu ）までお名前（または代表者のお名前）、Eメールアドレス、及び投稿作品の簡単な説明を添えてお送りください。
当ウェブサイトで９月２４日より応募作品の一般公開をいたします。公開後、コンテストページにていつでもご自由にご覧になれます。 各コンテストの優勝者は当ウェブサイト、Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTokで９月３０日に発表させていただきます。なお、投稿された作品は広報活動の一環として、使用させていただく場合がありますので、ご了承くださいますようお願い申し上げます。イベント後に各大会優勝者には賞品が郵送されますが、アメリカの住所がある方に限らさせていただきます。大会参加はどなたでも世界のどこからでもできますので、奮ってご応募ください！

Your Character Bento must be in a bento-bako (bento box). Please include a description and let us know what character(s) you’re creating; any message to the eater; and what ingredients you used. A professional registered dietitian will be judging with us, so create a well-balanced nutritious bento! You may submit photos for more than one KyaraBen, so submit all of your own creations! (Please do not submit other people’s copyrighted photos.) Prizes will be mailed to the contest winners after the event. To receive a prize, you need to provide us with a US mailing address. But, anyone can participate from anywhere in the world!

お弁当箱に入っているキャラ弁の写真を簡単な説明と一緒に投稿してください。説明には何のキャラクターなのか、食べる人へのメッセージ、使用材料などを記して提出お願いいたします。審査にはプロの栄養士の方にも参加していただきます。栄養も考えた楽しいキャラ弁をお待ちしています。一人が複数のキャラ弁を投稿していただいてもかまいません。（ただし、他人の著作物を無断で投稿するのはご遠慮ください。）

There will be three age group categories (Age as of Sep. 24th, 2022):
Children’s division (Age 12 & under)
Teen’s division (Age 13-19)
Adult division (20 years old and up)
- You may use scissors
- You may not use glue or any adhesive tape
- You may use any number, sizes or shapes of paper
- Entries must include:
Name of Model
Name of Designer (if unknown, write “unknown”)
Name of Folder
Members from PAPER (Puget Area Paperfolding Enthusiasts Roundtable) will be the judges for this contest. Prizes will be mailed to the contest winners after the event. To receive a prize, you need to provide us with a US mailing address. But, anyone can participate from anywhere in the world!

Bring your kendama and gather by the water fountain in front of Bldg. C at 1:45pm. You will be divided into groups according to your skill level. You will then all go inside Bldg. C to the cafeteria stage and the contest will begin at 2:15pm
ご自身のけん玉をお持ちの上、９月２４日（土）１時４５分にCビル前の噴水までお越しください。コンテスト開始前に審査員が参加者をレベル別に分けて、ステージでけん玉の技をそれぞれご披露していただきます。けん玉コンテストの時間は 2:15-3:15pmです。
Cosplay Contest (4:00-5:00pm)
コスプレ大会

Put on your favorite cosplay costume and come to the contest stage in the C-building Cafeteria on 9/24 (Sat). The contest will start at 4:00pm. Please keep your cosplay costumes/photos appropriate for a family-oriented event. Your costume should not expose more of the body than a regular (non-thong) swimsuit. Hate speech or symbols, no matter how character-accurate, will automatically disqualify a submission. The contest will be judged by Sakura-Con board members and prizes will be provided by the organizers of Sakura-Con!
お気に入りのコスチュームを着て、９月２４日（土）にCビルのカフェテリアステージまでお越しください。コスプレ大会は４時からです！
コスチュームは通常の水着(Tバックでない)よりも体が露出しないようにしてください。極端に肌の露出が高い衣装は禁止します。ヘイトスピーチやシンボルマークの使用はキャラクターの正確さに関わらず即参加資格を失効させていただきます。審査はSakura-Con委員会が担当し、数名の優勝者への賞品もSakura-Conから提供されますので、奮ってご応募ください！

日本トリビアクイズ大会 (3:15-4:00pm)
Gather in the C-building Cafeteria for the Trivia Contest on 9/24 (Sat) and the chance to win prizes. 3:15-4:00pm

日本トリビアクイズ大会は９月２４日（土）にキャンパスで開催されます。ご自身のスマホで参加できるクイズですので、携帯の充電をお忘れなく！お友達、ご家族をお誘いの上、Cビルのカフェテリアまでお越しください。日本トリビア大会は3:15-4:00pmに開催されます。優勝者には賞品あり！
