Porcelain Murmurs

Porcelain Murmurs

by Jason Ausmus

A fragile whisper beckons his heart in gaiety,
So young and precious is she in the field,
Playing with grass, a shell of porcelain frailty.
Such strength and passion that her eyes wield,
His knees numbing to the rhythm of their vigor.
Her hair like flowing streams of blonde paint,
Causes the mind in sweet bliss, to flicker
As she nears, no longer capable of restraint.

Rose petals fall between them like rain,
Welding hearts like two streams into a river.
Delightful shock, a love they cannot feign,
A pulse felt as their eyes meet; a shiver.

Their love is forged unto strands of golden fleece,
Immortalized in a stasis, a hymn entwined in centuries.
