$20-30/hour — Family Assistant / Childcare Support – Join Our Funny, Kind Family

Description:

About Us:
We’re a warm, funny family looking for the right person to join our household as a Family Assistant / Childcare Support. We promise lots of laughs, two cuddly dogs, and the chance to work with the coolest nine-year-old you’ve ever met (though fair warning: she can be a little stinky sometimes).

Our daughter is non-verbal, uses a wheelchair, and is tube-fed. She’ll be your main sidekick, and while prior special needs experience isn’t required, a genuine love for kids and a willingness to learn are a must.

Responsibilities:
• Childcare for our daughter (feeding, playing, transportation).
• Driving to and from activities (we’ll provide a vehicle for work).
• Helping with house cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
• General household support as needed.

Schedule:
• Core hours (Must be available for these hours):
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:30–6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 2:00–6:00 PM
• Flexibility: We can offer earlier starts, later finishes, and anywhere from 15–40 hours per week.
• Occasional 9–5 coverage on school holidays.

Requirements:
• Non-smoker.
• Comfortable with dogs (we have two very friendly girls).
• Clean and safe driving record.
• Own transportation to get to/from our home (we provide a vehicle for work use).
• Able to pass a full background check.

Pay & Details:
• Starting at $20/hour, with a $10/hour increase after registration with CDWA. (Start at $30 if already registered.)
• Meals provided while on shift.

Why Join Us?
If you love kids, dogs, and families who don’t take themselves too seriously, you’ll fit right in. This is a long-term role, and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of our family team — and laugh a lot along the way.
