Garlic!

Garlic Planting

We planted our garlic in late October. The garlic plants are now developing, and will be ready for harvest in June/July 2019.

Plant Profile: Chamomile

Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla)

The flowers of the chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) plant are used for tea. It has been promoted as a calming tea and contains no caffeine. To turn the flowers into tea you need to harvest the flowers, sort through them for bugs, then lay them out flat on an uncovered pan in a dry location. Once they are dried, store them in a sealed container so no moisture can get to them. When they are dry you can put them in tea bags or use them loose leaf.
