Bellevue Learning Center is a family-owned small business. We offer one-on-one academic tutoring and try to provide the best possible learning experience for our students while focusing on their long-term growth and development.
During the school year, our center is open Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 8:30pm, Saturday from 9:30am to 5:30pm, and Sunday from 12:00om to 6:00pm. Work starts as soon as the candidate is able to. Applicants must be able to commute to the center for in-person lessons.
Scheduling is flexible. You can choose how many hours you prefer to work and which days and times are best for you. We hire outstanding, knowledgeable, passionate tutors who desire to make a difference in the lives of their students and who are eager to pass on their love of learning.
English tutoring will entail:
– Working with elementary and middle school students
– Lower level reading and writing skills
– Vocabulary and grammar development
– SSAT/ISEE test preparation
– ELL
Education and Experience requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred
– Classroom teaching experience is preferred
– You will be tested on your subject area along with the interview. We will only hire candidates who can demonstrate considerable mastery in English reading and writing.

Base pay is $20 per hour, but it can be adjusted depending on your education and experience.

Unlike other tutoring centers, we don’t use open spaces or cubicles. We have proper classrooms with comfortable chairs, clean, spacious desks, whiteboards, and bookshelves.
Friendly Work Environment
Our tutors are mostly young professionals or graduate students. We are an enthusiastic group and are always willing to help each other with advice, resources, or suggestions. The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Kim, are friendly and encouraging. They know every student can do their best to make every lesson as effective and helpful as possible.

We care about what is best for the student. We do not force our tutors to teach subjects outside of their specialty. We hire tutors who will actively seek out and provide the best help that they can. This creates a positive, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
