We are searching for an organized early bird as a part time morning nanny M to F beginning Sept. 1st. The nanny would start at 6 AM and end sometime between 8 AM and 10 AM, depending on the individual’s schedule and weekly hour needs. We want someone for at least 10 hours a week and as many as 20 hours a week. Pay is $25 to $30 an hour, DOE. This could be a great role for a college student or someone who is working another part time job.
We live on the NE corner of Mercer Island, close to 90 for anyone commuting from off island. We have four fun and energetic little boys, ages 8, 6.5, 5, and 3.5. The morning nanny would be responsible for getting the kids ready for the day, packing lunches, and getting them off to school. Three of the boys are in elementary school and take a bus that stops right by our house. The youngest goes to a Montessori preschool on the island. The job includes cleaning the kitchen after breakfast and tidying up anything the kids have been playing with. If someone wants 20 hours a week, the last hour of each shift would be spent folding and putting away the children’s laundry, prepping food for dinner, or other household management items. (The children are off to school at 9 AM.)
We hope to find someone who is punctual, reliable, and very organized. (With four children, there’s always a lot going on.) We are a very clean household and would like someone who is clean as well. We would love a nanny who is kind, creative, and eager to interact and play with our boys. We would also appreciate a good communicator who is a self starter. Our nanny must be fully vaccinated from Covid.
About us: We live on a quiet street on Mercer Island and have a big backyard for the kids to play in. Charlie is an actuary and works long hours, both at his office downtown and from home. Heidi is a journalist and works from home. We have two cats. We are super active and love to play tennis, bike, and be outdoors. We look forward to meeting you and talking to you soon!
