Job Posting: After School Program Staff
Position: ESS Staff
Location: Sacred Heart School
Hours: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Mornings also available)
Grade Levels: K – 8th Grade
Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our ESS team. As a staff member, you will work with students ranging from Kindergarten through 8th grade, providing a safe, fun, and supportive environment for children after school hours. This position requires someone who is energetic, compassionate, and able to engage students in both structured and unstructured activities.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage children in after school activities, including arts & crafts, games, homework help, and physical activities.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all children feel supported and safe.
Provide individual assistance to students with homework, as needed.
Communicate with parents and school staff regarding student progress and any behavioral concerns.
Ensure that the after-school program adheres to the school’s safety and behavior policies.
Assist with any additional tasks related to the program as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children (K through 8th grade) preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to be flexible, patient, and calm in a dynamic environment.
A background in education or child development is a plus, but not required.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or the willingness to obtain certification.
Morning Shift Availability (Optional):
In addition to the after-school hours, there may be an opportunity to assist with morning care or activities, depending on availability and program needs.
Compensation:
$20/hr
