As Design Assistant, you will be responsible for every aspect of our showroom process. You will learn the full lifecycle of a client coming into the showroom through the completion of a project. Additionally, you will learn about material selections, sourcing, and pricing while offering your design perspective. You will learn about project challenges and how to address them while exercising your exceptional customer service skills.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents and/or client packets for order placement
- Greet showroom walk-ins – Gather contact info, project info, tour the showroom, etc.
- Price materials for Design team
- Source materials for Design team
- Assist Design team with basic design revisions with the understanding that this area of responsibility will grow over time
- Order and organize samples for projects
- Track all activity in our CRM, HubSpot
- Manage claims and work with vendors and customers to find the best resolution
- Learn how to measure / remeasure a project for cabinetry, flooring, tile, or other materials
- Collaborate with Armada Design Center contractors on the scheduling of a project, deliveries, and installation of materials if applicable
- Coordinate before and after photos of projects
- Coordinate thank you gifts upon project completion
Hours and Work Schedule Expectations:
- M-F 8am – 5pm in our office in Bellevue
- We work 2 to 3 home shows per year on the weekends and you would be expected to participate
- 6 times per year, we host events in our showroom in the evenings and you would be expected to participate
Qualifications:
- Interior Design Degree, Associates or Bachelors
- Creative
- Ability to find solutions
- 2020 and / or Chief Architect is a big plus
- Excellent people skills
- Excellent phone skills
- Attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Motivated to learn and grow with the company
- Ability to self-manage and work well independently and collaboratively
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Your own reliable transportation
Compensation:
- Full time employment with a base salary of $41,600 to $52,000 depending on experience, plus a bonus program
- Medical and dental insurance through Kaiser Permanente PPO and Delta Dental of WA (PPO premium paid at 50% by employer and 50% by employee), Dental covered 100% by the company
- 2 weeks paid vacation per year
