Healthcare Simulation is the modern day methodology for training healthcare professionals through the use of advanced educational technology. Swedish Cherry Hill is home to the Swedish Simulation Center, one of the leaders in the Pacific Northwest for delivering high-quality evidence-based practice simulated clinical scenarios. Our 11,000 sqft Simulation Center is located in an independent unit complete with nine patient rooms, seven classrooms, and a fully integrated audiovisual system. We utilize adult, pediatric, and neonatal manikins from CAE, Laerdal, and Gaumard.
A Simulation Technology Specialist job may include the following;
– Setting up, running, and resetting our many simulations
– Playing the voice of the patient
– Working with various silicone products from SmoothOn to create and modify trainers and simulations
– 3D Printing with our Ultimaker 3, 3D design with Fusion360
– Many opportunities for creative problem solving and working with your hands
– Working to maintain and operate our high fidelity computer based manikins
– Programming manikins to replicate real life clinical scenarios
– Working with and programming Arduinos and Raspberry Pi
– Moulage: The creation of realistic wounds and injuries
