The Society of Healthcare informaticist, (S.H.I.N.E.) is a student-run association that was designed for networking and advancing educational growth in the Healthcare Informatics field.
Our goal is to develop and mentor students before becoming professional informaticians towards leadership roles within the profession. We strive to teach and uphold data management standards, the ethics of privacy, and the responsibilities of keeping information secure.
In addition, we will aid in the training of skills that informaticians will need as responsible and accountable leaders.
Finally, SHINE will build shared governance within the Informatics and HSEWI programs, including the Bellevue College community.
