I am retired from Boeing. I wrote software that helped build airplanes and spent many years in management. I have a Masters in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, Go Zags! I taught Leadership classes at Bellevue College for nine years. I have been on many Boards over the years including my homeowners board, Special Olympics and the Northwest Center for Emerging Technologies.\u00a0 I am now enjoying taking TELOS classes and facilitate a\u00a0Views of the News<\/em>\u00a0class. I love the community of learning and the wide variety of classes offered. TELOS is such a great program and resource. I want to help keep it strong and growing for our current TELOSians and all those Boomers coming.\u00a0 (Previously vice-president of the council)<\/em><\/p>\n

Starting with TELOS Geology classes, I\u2019ve made some wonderful friends within TELOS through the years.\u00a0 My time on committees prepared me to serve on the TSO Board in 2013-14, then as our Vice President in 2014-15.\u00a0 I\u2019ve spent the last two years on the Curriculum Committee.\u00a0 With Ted Watts, I co-founded our thriving Constitution Club.\u00a0 I have my B.A. in Econ from Whitman College, and an M.B.A. from Stanford.
\nFollowing my dream, merging my flow of creative ideas with my skills in seizing unseen opportunities resulted in my owning a local home-building company for 27 years. I bring these skills to strengthenur TSO Council.\u00a0 And thanks for voting!<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0Secretary:\u00a0 Alexa Munoz<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Secretary records and communicates information on decisions that coordinate policies and activities within the TELOS Student Organization (TSO).\u00a0\u00a0 Information coordination gives the TSO Council the opportunity to reach its goals collaboratively and cooperatively with TELOS participants and college administration.\u00a0\u00a0 While working in educational institutions earning funds for my college education, the secretarial skills I developed as a teenager now allow me to continue my commitment to public service in promotion of life-long learning.\u00a0 I currently am Secretary of the Curriculum Committee, and recently served as Secretary for 3 years in a non-profit organization.
\nPublic service has been an important aspect of my life.\u00a0\u00a0 I have served in various Board of Director roles in non-profit organizations, and was appointed to several decision-making positions in city and county government.\u00a0 I authored a book, and for many years performed as a cellist in orchestras and small ensembles.
\nMy experience also includes the business world where I partnered to co-own a business, and was the proprietress of two other businesses. I earned a BA in Political Science, and an AAS in Environmental Horticulture and Floral Design.\u00a0\u00a0(Continuing as Secretary of the Council)<\/em><\/p>\n

I joined TELOS four years ago and I am a regular in a Views\/News class, and attend classes in history and computers. I much enjoy meeting TELOS people in TSO events and classes. My wife and I relocated from the Midwest to be with our infant grandchildren, who greatly enrich our lives. We also benefit from our new social contacts through TELOS.
\nApproaching my second year on the TSO Council, I support TELOS\u2019 providing interesting \u2013 and affordable \u2013 programs for the members. My background is healthcare administration, with a M.A. in Public Administration. Before retirement, I administered projects and conducted feasibility studies \u2013 perhaps the most intriguing of which was the sale of an aged hospital in San Francisco for conversion to \u201cluxury condominiums\u201d with bay views.
\nAs Treasurer, I aim to strengthen our vibrant TELOS program.\u00a0(Previously an at-large member of the Council)<\/em><\/p>\n

I have a BA in Psychology and in Anthropology from the University of Washington. And I have done further graduate study in Forest Soils, also at UW. I enjoyed a 30-year career with the City of Seattle in construction management and forest road Engineering.
\nIn the past I have been a volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America and served in executive positions in political organizations. At this time I am caring for an elderly relative and am an active grandmother of two grandchildren. I enjoy hiking, fishing and anything in the great outdoors.
\nI consider myself a lifelong learner and read about economics, current events, history and science and many current periodicals. I have been a longtime participant in the TELOS current events discussion classes and have enjoyed these classes immensely. Recently I have guided\u00a0Views of the News<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Great Decisions<\/em>\u00a0courses.\u00a0(Continuing as an at-large member of the Council.)\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

I am 82 and a retired CPA who is married and residing in Kirkland.\u00a0 I have been an officer and board member of my condominium association for several lyears.\u00a0 I have been on the board of the Jewish Family Service as well.<\/p>\n

I am a retired radiologist, Dec 2015, practiced at Overlake Hospital and with Overlake Imaging Associates, (originally Wallace Harms Radiology).<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0I am a graduate of UBC Medical school, 1965, immigrating the day after Carol and I were married in Vancouver, interning at LA County Hospital, drafted to the USAF, Plattsburgh NY, 2 years, then specialty training in radiology and nuclear medicine at UCSD, then 2 years in Spokane, and Bellevue in 1974.<\/div>\n
