Currently, we are seeking photos and videos for the following four Virtual<\/strong> Japan Week 2020 Contests<\/strong>. There will be prizes, so have fun participating! Submission deadline: September 19 (Sat), 2020. (Text in Japanese below\u65e5\u672c\u8a9e\u3067\u306e\u8aac\u660e\u3082\u4e0b\u306b\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059)<\/p>\n

Prizes provided by: Bento-ya Goemon<\/a>, Bokksu<\/a>, Hurry Curry of Tokyo – Bellevue<\/a>, Japan Week T-shirt<\/a>, Sakura-Con<\/a>, Sandwich House TRES<\/a>, Sugimoto Tea Company<\/a>, Sweets Kendama,<\/a> and Uwajimaya<\/a>.<\/p>\n

  1. Cosplay Photo Contest <\/strong>= Put on your favorite cosplay costume and submit at least two photos (two angles – e.g. from the front and back) with your favorite action pose. Win Prizes provided by Sakura-Con<\/a>!\n

    1. If your costume obscures your face, please provide additional photo(s) that ‘prove’ you are the person wearing \/ submitting this costume [no submitting other people’s work\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42 ].\u00a0 Please keep your cosplay photo appropriate for a family-oriented event.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    2. Japan Trivia Quiz <\/strong>= Submit Japan-related trivia questions (with answers) in English and\/or Japanese to be used on the Japan Week website. Win Prizes!<\/li>\n
    3. Kendama Contest <\/strong>= Submit a video or a link to a video of your kendama tricks uploaded to YouTube. The contest will be judged by world-class Kendama experts Nick (former world champion) and Zack Gallagher, who are both Bellevue College alumni. Win Prizes!<\/li>\n
    4. Tea Photo Contest <\/strong>= Be creative using any kind of Japanese tea. Submit Japanese tea-related photos and recipes. (but do not submit other\u2019s copyrighted photos) Some examples: tea beverages (like matcha latte, matcha milk shake, etc), ochazuke, green tea desserts (cheese cake, mousse, ice cream, cupcake, cookies, etc), confections, facial packs made of powdered green tea, or any photo just showing a cup of Japanese tea (specify the tea type used).\u00a0 Prizes provided by Sugimoto Tea Company. <\/a>1st Prize: Sakura Kyusu<\/a> and assorted teas (Sencha<\/a>, Hojicha<\/a>, Genmaicha<\/a>, and Kukicha<\/a>), 2nd Prize: Nodate Matcha Set<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
