We are now accepting submissions on this website for the Character Bento and Origami Contests! Multiple entries are welcomed. <\/strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Kendama, Cosplay, Japan Trivia, and Paper Airplane contests are being hosted live on-campus on September 30th (Sat). <\/em><\/p>\n

How to submit photos for contests >>\u3000<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your photo submissions for the Character Bento Contest<\/strong> and Origami Contest<\/strong> should be in either JPEG or PNG format.  Please send a brief description of your photo with your submission by Sept. 22nd (Fri) 11:59 pm.<\/u><\/p>\n

Your submitted photos will be published on this website on Sep. 23rd (Sat).<\/u> Contest winners will be announced on Sep. 30th<\/sup> (Sat)<\/u> on the Japan Week website, and potentially on other BC Japan Week social media outlets (Facebook<\/a>, Twitter<\/a>, Instagram<\/a>, TikTok<\/a>). All of your submissions\/entries become the property of Japan Week and may be used in future BC Japan Week promotions.<\/p>\n

Prizes will be mailed to all the contest winners after the event. To receive a prize, you need to provide us with a US mailing address. But anyone can participate from anywhere in the world!<\/p>\n

Your Character Bento must be in a bento-bako (bento box). Please include a description and let us know what character(s) you\u2019re creating\/representing; any message to the eater; and what ingredients you used. A professional registered dietitian will also be judging with us, so create a well-balanced nutritious bento! You may submit photos for more than one KyaraBen, so submit all of your own creations! (Please do not submit other people\u2019s bentos or copyrighted photos.) Prizes will be mailed to the contest winners after the event. To receive a prize, you need to provide us with a US mailing address. But anyone can participate from anywhere in the world!<\/p>\n
