How to submit for contests >>\u3000<\/span><\/h1>\n

Our contest submission deadline has been extended to\u00a0September 30th (Thurs)<\/strong>!<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

Photo submissions for the Character Bento Contest, Origami Contest, <\/strong>and Cosplay Contest<\/strong> should be in either JPEG or PNG format. For the Kendama Contest<\/strong>, your video should be uploaded to an accessible site like YouTube or Vimeo. To be ADA compliant, we would also like to include captions, so please send a brief description of your photo\/video with your submission.<\/p>\n

Your submitted photos \/ video links will be published on this website on Oct. 4th (Mon).<\/span> Contest winners will be announced on Oct. 9th<\/sup> (Sat)<\/span> on the Japan Week website, and potentially on other BC Japan Week social media outlets (Facebook<\/a>, Twitter<\/a>, Instagram<\/a>, TikTok<\/a>). All of your submissions \/ entries become the property of Japan Week and may be used in future BC Japan Week promotions.<\/p>\n

Prizes will be mailed to all the contest winners after the event. To receive a prize, you need to provide us with a US mailing address. But, anyone can participate from anywhere in the world!<\/p>\n

Your Character Bento must be in a bento-bako (bento box). Please include captions and let us know what character(s) you\u2019re creating; any message to the eater; and what ingredients you used. A professional registered dietitian will be judging with us, so create a well-balanced nutritious bento! You may submit photos for more than one KyaraBen, so submit all of your own creations! (Please do not submit other people\u2019s copyrighted photos.) Prizes will be mailed to the contest winners after the event. To receive a prize, you need to provide us with a US mailing address.
