German guitarist Eva Beneke<\/strong> earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles in 2012 and studied guitar at the Franz Liszt Hochschule in Weimar, Germany. She has won prizes at international guitar competitions in The Netherlands, Italy and the U.S., and has performed on internationally broadcast radio and television programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlights of her career include appearances with the German Symphony Orchestra under Kent Nagano, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and invitations to festivals in Peru, Mexico, Germany, Lithuania, the U.S., China and Thailand, as well as a televised performance with famed singer Carrie Underwood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her latest album is a NAXOS recording of Fernando Sor \u0301s \u201cComplete Works for Voice and Guitar\u201d with mezzo-soprano Nerea Berraondo and was released in 2017.
In the Fall of 2018, Eva Beneke was appointed Associate Professor of Guitar at Norges Musikkh\u00f8gskole (The Norwegian Academy of Music) in Oslo.Eva is a D\u00b4Addario Strings artist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
