Little Stars Preschool in Snoqualmie is looking for a nurturing, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our 3\/4\u2019s classroom team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and wants to be part of a supportive, collaborative school community.<\/p>\n
Schedule<\/p>\n
Ideal schedule: Monday\u2013Friday, 8:30 AM \u2013 4:30 PM<\/p>\n
Flexibility is possible with the schedule if not available full time.<\/p>\n
About the Role:
\nThe Preschool Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 3\u20134. This role is hands-on and active, working closely with children throughout the day to support learning, social development, routines, and play.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:
\nSupport the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities, lessons, and transitions. Help maintain a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment. Assist children with routines including arrival, bathroom breaks, snacks, lunch, rest time, and dismissal. Engage with children during play, centers, circle time, and outdoor activities. Help manage classroom materials, set up activities, and assist with clean up. Support social-emotional development, positive behavior guidance, and conflict resolution. Supervise children closely to ensure safety at all times. Communicate respectfully and professionally with staff and families. Follow all preschool policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures.<\/p>\n
Ideal Candidate:
\nHas a genuine love for working with young children
\nIs patient, warm, and emotionally responsive
\nCan take direction but also work independently and anticipate classroom needs
\nEnjoys being active, creative, and engaged throughout the day
\nIs reliable, punctual, and professional
\nComfortable working as part of a team
\nPrior preschool, childcare, or early childhood experience preferred (but not required)<\/p>\n
Requirements:
\nAbility to pass a background check
\nCPR\/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
\nAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and participate in active play<\/p>\n
