About Us:
\nWe\u2019re a warm, funny family looking for the right person to join our household as a Family Assistant \/ Childcare Support. We promise lots of laughs, two cuddly dogs, and the chance to work with the coolest nine-year-old you\u2019ve ever met (though fair warning: she can be a little stinky sometimes).<\/p>\n
Our daughter is non-verbal, uses a wheelchair, and is tube-fed. She\u2019ll be your main sidekick, and while prior special needs experience isn\u2019t required, a genuine love for kids and a willingness to learn are a must.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:
\n\t\u2022\tChildcare for our daughter (feeding, playing, transportation).
\n\t\u2022\tDriving to and from activities (we\u2019ll provide a vehicle for work).
\n\t\u2022\tHelping with house cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
\n\t\u2022\tGeneral household support as needed.<\/p>\n
Schedule:
\n\t\u2022\tCore hours (Must be available for these hours):
\n\u2022 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:30\u20136:00 PM
\n\u2022 Wednesday: 2:00\u20136:00 PM
\n\t\u2022\tFlexibility: We can offer earlier starts, later finishes, and anywhere from 15\u201340 hours per week.
\n\t\u2022\tOccasional 9\u20135 coverage on school holidays.<\/p>\n
Requirements:
\n\t\u2022\tNon-smoker.
\n\t\u2022\tComfortable with dogs (we have two very friendly girls).
\n\t\u2022\tClean and safe driving record.
\n\t\u2022\tOwn transportation to get to\/from our home (we provide a vehicle for work use).
\n\t\u2022\tAble to pass a full background check.<\/p>\n
Pay & Details:
\n\t\u2022\tStarting at $20\/hour, with a $10\/hour increase after registration with CDWA. (Start at $30 if already registered.)
\n\t\u2022\tMeals provided while on shift.<\/p>\n
