Position: ESS Staff
\nLocation: Sacred Heart School
\nHours: Monday \u2013 Friday, 3:00 PM \u2013 6:00 PM (Mornings also available)
\nGrade Levels: K \u2013 8th Grade<\/p>\n
Job Overview:
\nWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our ESS team. As a staff member, you will work with students ranging from Kindergarten through 8th grade, providing a safe, fun, and supportive environment for children after school hours. This position requires someone who is energetic, compassionate, and able to engage students in both structured and unstructured activities.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:
\nSupervise and engage children in after school activities, including arts & crafts, games, homework help, and physical activities.
\nFoster a positive and inclusive environment where all children feel supported and safe.
\nProvide individual assistance to students with homework, as needed.
\nCommunicate with parents and school staff regarding student progress and any behavioral concerns.
\nEnsure that the after-school program adheres to the school\u2019s safety and behavior policies.
\nAssist with any additional tasks related to the program as needed.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:
\nExperience working with children (K through 8th grade) preferred.
\nStrong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
\nAbility to be flexible, patient, and calm in a dynamic environment.
\nA background in education or child development is a plus, but not required.
\nCPR and First Aid certification preferred, or the willingness to obtain certification.
\nMorning Shift Availability (Optional):
\nIn addition to the after-school hours, there may be an opportunity to assist with morning care or activities, depending on availability and program needs.<\/p>\n
Compensation:
\n$20\/hr<\/p>\n
