The Success Mentoring Program is part of a local organization, Youth Eastside Services. Our mentoring program is currently looking for mentors of color to join our mentoring team. Mentors do not need to have any experience but must be at least 21 and be willing to commit 2-4 hours a week with their mentee for a period of 1 year. The youth in our program range in age from 6-18. All struggle socially, emotionally, and/or academically and are in need of a stable adult who can serve as a guide, companion, and role model. Mentors and mentees spend time together doing the things that they have in common and/or trying new things! With COVID-19 still a very real part of our lives, mentoring pairs are taking great precautions to ensure everyone is healthy and safe by meeting outdoors, wearing masks, and practicing social distancing.
