Emmanuel recommends more student reps., to get a greater student voice in the input.<\/em><\/li><li><em>Discussed the calendar for the S&amp;A committee and availability for officers.<\/em><\/li><li><em>Looking at access for student-use in health and wellness facilities on-campus, possibly add a student-fee to ensure this access?<strong>Treasurer <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Nothing to report at this time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Emerging Tech Rep.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <em>STF committee on February 26th from 11 am to 12 pm.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>We discussed the STF contract or agreement. We had an assignment to go over the contract and see if we can add or remove anything that we didn&#8217;t like in the contract. Everyone agreed on the actual contract.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; we elected &#8220;a Vice-Chair&#8221;, which the committee voted for me<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; We reviewed the STF Budget and reserve budget so that we can see all the expenses<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; We reviewed also the STF requests:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"i\"><li><em>Coin-op copiers:&nbsp; These will cost $75 per month per copier with a total of 4 devices<\/em><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The copiers do not fund themselves. We recommended having that 1 at N200, 1 at Library, 1 Cafeteria hallway instead of 4 we decided to take off one copier machine which is in the C building. This coin-op copier machine was not really used by students. So, we decided to take on-off and continue to pay for the 3 other machines that are active.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"i\"><li><em>Large Format Plotter: This will cost $26,995, This does not include the cost of the maintenance. This discussion is being tabled for the next time for members to review, ITS to get quotes and for requestors to attend the next meeting potentially<\/em><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This may go for an electronic vote.&nbsp; I will forward this request as well to all the ASG members so that they can see and read it and give me their thoughts about that request before having an electronic vote with the STF committee.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Legislative Affairs Rep.<\/strong><\/li><li><em>WSA update:<\/em><\/li><li><em>HB 5227 &#8211; House College and Workforce Development public hearing about requiring Higher Education to give DEI training for students, staff and faculty.<\/em><\/li><li><em>HB 5228 \u2013 House College and Workforce Development public hearing addressing disproportionate health outcomes by building equity into health care training curriculum. <strong>Public Relations Rep.<\/strong><\/em><\/li><li><em>PR Rep. has asked ASG President to relay an idea to BOT directors, regarding having a mental research resource center implemented at BC.<strong>Social Responsibility Rep.<\/strong><\/em><\/li><li><em>attended student union building meeting with Emmanuel<\/em><\/li><li><em>Continuing with my plastic-free initiative<\/em><\/li><li><em>Zero-Waste Task Force<\/em><\/li><li><em>SESF Committee meetings<\/em><\/li><li><strong>UNFINISHED BUSINESS:<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>NEW BUSINESS: <\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brown.edu\/academics\/college\/swearer\/programs\/college-and-university-engagement-initiative-cuei\"><em>Carnegie Community Engagement classification<\/em><\/a><em><\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2022 Support our overall mission of teaching students about journalism.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2022 Improve the quality of the paper by making sure all The Watchdog student staff have a basic understanding of journalism skills, laws, and ethics.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2022 Make training among our student staff more equitable by having it standardized (it is accessible).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2022 Allow students to learn on their own time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2022 Give our students something valuable to add to their resume &#8211; the program we want to use is provided by a respected journalism school.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><strong>ANNOUNCEMENTS:<\/strong><\/li><li><em>Third round of CARES Act is coming, amount is yet to be determined. More information will be shared, as Dr. B gets the details.<\/em><\/li><li><em>DACA student updates \u2013 new changes are coming, which is good news for undocumented students at BC.
