Mimi Bunko started our activities as a reading group in 1997.
We recited Japanese novels and essays, and performed volunteer activities like recording books for seniors in the Seattle area, and those with difficulty reading due to impaired vision.
In 2006, we began presenting puppet shows, and the nine members currently do everything from creation to performance of these puppet shows.
We focus on readings at elementary schools, and devote great effort in creating the works by hand so that we can delight children with interesting Japanese stories.
Please enjoy the Mimi Bunko puppet show on Saturday.
