About Evergreen Glee Club (EGC)

2017 marks 10 years since EGC was founded here in the Seattle Puget Sound region by Japanese executives who loved singing but did not have a formal opportunity to perform. They are a 4- part Men’s chorus group with top tenor, second tenor, baritone and bass. EGC’s repertoire selection is diverse; ranging from traditional Japanese classical songs to songs from Anime titles, as well as J-Pop selections.

The number of members range widely from 5 to 16 depending largely on number of Japanese business executives who rotate in and out of Seattle on assignment. Currently there are 6 members and are open to welcoming new members.

EGC has performed in a variety of events and settings, including:

1) singing the National Anthem at the Mariner’s home games (three times),

2) Sakura-con- Annual large scale animation convention held at the Seattle Convention Center (twice, once at opening ceremony and once at closing)

3) Akimatsuri (Fall Festival) at Bellevue College (3 times)

4 ) Official residence of the Consul General of Japan in Seattle (4 times)
